This Past Week

I am going to start off blogging about this past week. My theme is always find the good in everything. So my week started off bad because my roomate said her grams was making us move out of our house that we just put a lot of money into two months ago so her other grandaughter and her husband could move in. He just got kicked out of the army, been to the crazy house, tried to kill himself and her, and they are both unemployed so they can't pay the bills. I am not judging them but, I am angry they are getting to move in while we get booted. Well....I was pretty mad seeing that I have no where else to go. I could live with my mom far away from my job, I could live with my dad and share a room with three little boys that are seriously evil, or I could live with my grandparents far away that litterally wouldn't let me walk around Walmart by myself at seventeen. Uhhh no thanks I will live in my car! Not the first time. So that was just the beginning. The next day my starter went out on my car.                                                                                                                 (STARTER)
Starter Stock Photos That was a fat $140. Then the day after that my headlights go out right as I get off work at eleven at night with nobody to rescue me. I also had a huge final due the next morning. I eventually got a ride back to my boyfriends parents house (where I stay most of the time) from a girl that I used to know. Then, a day after that my starter went out again! I had bought a referbished one so there is always that chance but, I had a warenty so that's always nice.

I dont know the reasons behind everything but, late one evening I happen to see a person in a wheel chair that would never walk again and thats when I thought...I am so lucky. Here I was giving myself a pity party but hey..atleast I can walk and run and fend for myself without as much hardship as someone in a wheelchair would. I know it sounds crazy but, I haven't really gotten down about everything since. I might have gotten angry a time or two but, thats when I just stop and breath and think about everything I have. All the people I was blessed with to have in my life. I know that God provides your needs everytime! If you trust, you will recieve.

Response to "Harness Your students' Digital Smarts"

Something that caught my eye about this video was when she said that teachers don't have to know how to do something when teaching it. She was referring to when students and teachers learn together. Sometimes when teachers do that it shows the students that they are just as capable of learning something on the same level as a teacher. Sometimes the teacher can learn from the students, as well. It can help the teacher in the future when teaching because they will then know most of the tricks to learning the material quicker and easier. I will be using this method one day. I think that the video was pretty neat. It showed young high school students learning material that I am just now learning about in my second year of college. A month ago I had only heard of a blog. I honestly didn't really know what it was. I wish that I would have wanted to learn about technology sooner. I was never around it so I never cared about learning about it. The only computer classes I have ever taken until now was keyboarding and word proccessing one and two. I took year book one year and if it weren't for my best friend helping me I wouldn't have succeeded. I see a lot of my friends that are technologically inclined and I can't lie, I am jealous in some ways.  It is very important to be good with technology because now days that is what our world revolves around.

Social Networking

I am writing in response to the link above ^ on social networking. I do believe that technology has taken over the entire world. I do think that it is a good thing in a lot of ways when it comes to communication and education. I do believe that family wise, it is destructive. I catch myself having dinner with loved ones and not being able to hold back from checking a text or notification from facebook. I feel like once we as people get a taste of technology we can't stay away. We get so wraped up in other peoples' lives that we forget to participate in our own.

In response to the link above ^ I agree with every single thing he said. There is one thing that caught my eye that I am going to comment on. He talked about children that are on social networks. Just as he stated, there is too much violence and negativity for young adolecense. The brain isn't fully developed and is corupted when such behavior is shown them. I think that kids should not be allowed without super vision on the internet for that very reason.

It interferes with the natural growth in the mind. Parents should become more aware of their children and their actions. I see kids now that havent even reached the age of eight that already have cell phones.

I think that is just nonsense. They are not old enough to go off by themselves so why would you need to call them? I do think that technology is good in the education sense when it is supervised though. Kids need to know how it works so as technology progresses they won't be so far behind. It all comes down to supervision.

Introduction to blogging

In the course of my blogging I will be writing about what ever I feel. I will tell a lot of personal stories and hope that I can show the positive out of every situation. I tend to have a lot of bad luck( involving my car and no this is not my actual car but my car runs about like this one most of the time) so I want to share my hardships so that just maybe I can help someone out in the world realize that even on the worste of days there is always some good out of every situation. Most would say that I have a very stressful life because of the encounterments that I deal with from day to day but, I believe that they are all blessings in disguise. God rewards the ones that are patient and show thanks even when the "worste" has happened. He reminds me every day that it could always be worse and that I am actually very lucky! I think that blogging is a great thing because it is its own kind of therapy! I get to vent all I want! So this is pretty much what I will be talking about when I start full time blogging. Just stating my opinions on everyday life situations.
